There are things that happened before you arrived and things that will happen after you leave. There is hunger. There is loneliness. There is the body, which grows older whether you love it or not. There is death, waiting without malice or hurry.










Not rescued, not ruined, just now the cost is known. If spring comes again, it will be because she decided to return






The day began warily; the weather hadn’t been cooperating for the past couple weeks. A “heat dome” descended over the central United States. Mother nature has been threatening us with a good time, but hadn’t delivered yet.
Today was different. A mild storm rolled through overnight and it was a cooler, breezy mid 70s, dramatic sky, mild humidity considering my current longitude and latitude.
Riina stopped by the studio and we created a telling of Persephone.
